Floatation

No! BUT you can bring one if you would like to! Otherwise, your birthday suit works just as well. IF you decide to use a swimsuit, it must go through a full rinse cycle at home to remove any soap residue before you use it to float.

Nope! We provide and take care of any towels, washcloths, shower sandals, etc. needed for all floats!

If you are worried about allergies or have special needs that need to be accommodated for, you may bring them with you. We provide hypo-allergenic options for free in each Float Room.

Unfortunately, if you have dyed your hair within 3 weeks of your appointment, you would need to reschedule it to outside that 3 week period.

Yes! We have a 120 minute session that is only bookable over the phone with our front desk scheduling staff.

Massage & Asian Bodywork

We do not recommend a full meal, but a light snack is fine!

What is massage? Massage is defined as the rubbing and kneading of muscles and joints of the body with the hands, especially to relieve tension or pain. Common examples of massages include Swedish, Deep tissue, and Trigger Point.

What is Asian bodywork? Asian bodywork therapy is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is the treatment of the human body and spirit, including the electromagnetic or energetic field which surrounds, infuses and brings that body to life, by pressure and manipulation. It uses the traditional Asian techniques of pressure, movement and manipulation to treat the body's energy channels and restore and balance the flow of energy in the body. Asian bodywork is more of a broad term, incorporating a lot of different modalities like stretching, acupressure, reflexology, Reiki and Polarity therapies.

A modality is a particular method or procedure. Modalities are the different styles of techniques used in a session. Our therapists and bodyworkers have a variety of training which gives us the ability to offer different services based upon client requests.

Yes! When you schedule your appointment (whether online, in-person, or over the phone) just let us know that you are pregnant or have just recently given birth and we will take care of it from there!

Currently, we do not do this modality style of massage or asian bodywork.

Foot Treatments

Unfortunately, there are groups of people that have conditions that can not do this treatment. These groups are: minors under the age of 13, pregnant and nursing women, transplant recipients, those with open wounds on their feet, those who are monitored weekly with blood work, and those who have any battery-operated, electrical, or metal implants or devices in their body.

Yes. Those with cancer CAN schedule and experience the Ionic Foot Detoxes. IF you are currently going through chemo radiation treatments, we suggest waiting a few days after your treatments to have the detox.

A light meal or snack an hour before your appointment is fine. We provide a bottle of water to keep you hydrated and to keep you refreshed during your appointment as well.

HALO Salt Chamber

Yes! The HALO Salt Therapy Chamber is a benefit for everyone of all ages! It is one of East of Eden’s favored services amongst families!

Unless your animal is a licensed and registered full service animal, they are not allowed in the Wellness Spa Center.

Infrared Sauna

Yes! The Sunlighten Infrared sauna uses light below the color spectrum that we can’t see to warm the space and our bodies up to a better temperature for our systems to thrive at. It also uses color therapy to address other concerns that you may have health wise.

Comfortable clothes that you are okay sweating in are what we recommend. Yoga pants or shorts and a soft T-shirt are good examples.

The longest recommended session length per sitting is 40 minutes. It is possible to do separate sessions at opposite points of the day.

The recommended way to start consistent treatments with the Infrared Sauna is to do 1-2 sessions at 20 minutes per week and then work your way towards the longer lengths of time.

We recommend that you schedule your appointments at least 10-14 days in advance for many of our services. If you need a closer booking, we suggest you call 231-670-9038 and have our scheduling staff work with you and your need.
