Our History

East of Eden Wellness Spa Center has been a part of the West Michigan community since 2002. What started as a small business with only two rooms, has only continued to grow and expand since. After winning the ‘3-2-1 Go’ Contest in 2016, East of Eden was then able to bring even more to West Michigan. Now, a full wellness spa center, East of Eden WSC brings you to a better quality of life than before with a variety of treatments that ultimately change the way you view and take care of your wellness.

Jodi McClain, LMT

Practitioner and Owner

Specializing in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Oncology, Myofascial, Pre & Post Natal, and Relaxation based techniques, Jodi has been working in the wellness field since 2002. Her wholeheartedness towards transforming the wellness of others is the foundation of East of Eden Wellness Spa Center.

Angie Bell Young

Licensed Massage Therapist

Working since 2003 to bring wellness and relaxation to West Michigan, Angie is a multi-specialized LMT. With massage styles like the Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology, to Cupping and Deep Tissue with Bamboo, she brings a unique set of skills and a gentle spirit to the East of Eden WSC family.

Angel Hulka

Asian Bodyworker

After working in the wellness field for 20+ years, Angel has become multifaceted in her Asian bodywork techniques and skills. Angel is Level one certified in Asian bodywork through CTB Thai Bodywork Institute in Chicago, Illinois. She uses Asian techniques of acupressure, movement and manipulation to balance the energetic and meridian pathways in her sessions. She is also Level 3 Certified in Iridology, Level 3 Reiki Master and working presently on her education to become a Naturopath.

Dr. Ragini Pierce, D.C.

Adjunct Practitioner

Dr. Pierce is a Muskegon Chiropractor whose practice incorporates low-impact instrumental adjusting, nutritional supplement support, and various forms of energy healing (including animals!). She is the lead EMOTION CODE® specialist at East of Eden which offers a powerful, yet gentle technique that can help relieve the stressful, health-challenging effects of negative trapped emotions.

Jason Appel

Licensed Massage Therapist
Jason was raised in Muskegon and graduated from Reeths-Puffer. Jason has over 20 years experience in the holistic health field. He holds a BS degree in sustainable agriculture and environmental science and a Master's of Arts in Teaching. Jason became a meditation and Qi kung instructor while living abroad in Thailand. He is skilled at deep tissue, abdominal and swedish massage. Jason obtained his massage credentials from the University of New Mexico in Taos and is currently licensed here in Michigan.

Naomi Cedano

Wellness Program Coordinator

With a focus in Floatation Therapy and Ionic Foot Detoxes, Naomi is the spearhead of the 6 and 12 Week Wellness Programs that transforms and relaxes the body and mind. She strives to make each visit a healing and educating experience and to end each service with a smile!

Support Staff

Cheyenne is a friendly service professional that keeps the facility clean, sanitized, and running to maintain the high standards and exceptional experiences that East of Eden is known for.

Support Staff

Parise is a dedicated Detox and Front Desk Staff member that brings humor and smiles into every service to ensure a memorable experience that makes better wellness fun to achieve.

Susan Mielecki

Support Staff

Susan is a Support Team Member that assists with Front Desk and Facility Maintenance staff to ensure a smooth and ease-filled experience. She is also a part of our IDEMIA trained staff members that can assist with fingerprinting services for federal programs.
